The B.Sc. Computer Science programme under unaided stream was started in 2001 with the strength of 24 students. In 2010 the course was converted into regular stream.
The Programme in Computer Science is designed with the following specific objectives.
(a) To attract young minds to the potentially rich & employable field of computer applications.
(b) To be a foundation graduate programme which will act as a feeder course for higher studies in the area of Computer Science/Applications.
(c) To develop skills in software development so as to enable the graduates to take up selfemployment in Indian & global software market.
(d) To Train & Equip the students to meet the requirement of the Industrial standards.

Syllabus

M.Sc. COMPUTER SCIENCE WITH DATA ANALYTICS

The Master’s programme in Computer Science with specialization in Data Analytics aims to combine a scientific mind set with specialist technical knowledge, enabling graduates to analyse, design, validate and implement state-of-the-art ICT systems in their operational context. It is a broad-based program that covers concepts from engineering, science and business with the aim of producing high-quality software professionals.

Eligibility: The eligibility for admission to M.Sc. Computer Science with Data Analytics programme in affiliated institutions under Mahatma Gandhi University is a regular B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics /Computer Science /Electronics as one of the subjects (Main or Subsidiary) OR BCA/B.Tech degree with not less than 55% marks in optional subjects. Note: Candidates having degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ IT/Electronics shall be given a weightage of 20% in their qualifying degree examination marks considered for ranking for admission to M.Sc. Computer Science with Data Analytics.

  • ADDON COURSE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Career oriented programs are job-oriented add-on programs which run parallel to the conventional B. A. /B. Sc. /B. Com degree courses.The objective of the scheme is to introduce career and market oriented, skill-enhancing courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. At the end of three years the students will be equipped with a certificate/diploma/advanced diploma in an add-on course along with a conventional degree in Science/Arts/Commerce.
