Post Graduation Department of Commerce was established in the year 2005 as a self financing establishment of SSV College, Valayanchirangara. M.Com Finance and Taxation with a sanctioned strengh of 30 was the first course introduced in the wing. Later in 2014, M.Com Marketing and International Business with a sanctioned strength of 15 and B.Com Computer Application with a sanctioned strength of 30 were also started. One of our goals is to provide career development programmes to our UG and PG students along with soft skill and social skill training so that they will be completely equipped to face the challenges of the competitive world of future entrepreneurial vistas.
We also give hands on training in campus and provide opportunities for the students to visit successful establishments in the field of Industries, Management firms and other useful areas. Inorder to provide a chance to develop aesthetic skills and other artistic abilities various celebrations and observatory days are conducted in our department in which our students enthusiastically participate and enjoy the programmes.
PG Department of Commerce has a mission of bringing the students of this rural area into the competitive field of taxation, International Business and Computer Application which will enable them to enter into wider business and job opportunities with newgen skills.
