Rashmi K P serves as the Secretary of the SC ST Cell, responsible for coordinating its activities and maintaining communication among members. She plays a crucial role in organizing events and initiatives aimed at promoting the welfare of marginalized students.

Activities and Initiatives:

The SC ST Cell at SSV College undertakes various activities and initiatives to promote the academic, social, and professional development of SC and ST students. These include:

Counseling and Guidance: Providing counseling and guidance sessions to SC and ST students to address their academic, personal, and career-related concerns.

Skill Development Workshops: Organizing workshops and training sessions to enhance the employability skills of SC and ST students, including communication skills, resume writing, and interview preparation.

 

The formation of students’ Grievance Cell is to promote and maintain a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment where students shall not experience infringement of their rights. It is a measure to develop responsive and accountable attitude among College officials to ensure that, there is no laxity in terms of fair deal with the students. It is to deal with the complex situations in a tactful manner to lessen the condition felt to be oppressive or dissatisfied. After the 1st NAAC Accreditation the college had formulated a Grievance Redressal mechanism for the teaching and non teaching staff of this college as per the instruction of the NAAC peer team. Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom College Council has reconstituted an STUDENTS GRIEVANCE REDRESSEL CELL on 04/06/2018 at college conference hall. The College portal has an online Grievance Redressal area for registering their complaints.Complaints can be filed online at grievance@ssvcollege.ac.in.This is introduced to enable thestudents to express their grievances easily without delay. The anti-ragging cell plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students by implementing various functions. Primarily, the cell focuses on raising awareness and preventing instances of ragging through orientation programs and awareness campaigns. It provides a confidential platform for students to report incidents of ragging, conducts thorough investigations, and offers counseling and support services to victims. Additionally, the cell enforces disciplinary actions against committers, monitors campus activities, coordinates with authorities, engages with stakeholders, maintains documentation, advocates for policy improvements, and conducts training programs to enhance the capacity of members in preventing and addressing ragging effectively. Through these functions, the anti-ragging cell works towards fostering a respectful and inclusive campus environment where students can pursue their academic endeavors without fear of harassment or intimidation.
