 IQAC instructed all the departments and clubs to prepare an action plan for the year 2018-19 and the focus area of activities for the year was identified.  The setting up of MHRD’s Institution Innovation Council was an important move made by the IQAC in 2018-19. The MHRD invited applications from universities and colleges to set up institution innovation cells in the institutions in 2018. The college applied for this and became one of the few colleges in Kerala which is granted the establishment of IIC. Also, based on the performance for the year 2018-19, the college achieved a three-star ranking. This is a great achievement since our college was the only arts and science college in Kerala which achieved a three-star rating in 2018-19. The IIC helped the students in achieving

 IQAC also focussed on the development and enrichment of the teaching and non- teaching members of the college. A one-day faculty development programme was organised for the faculty members for improving their teaching skills and interaction with the students.
