The setting up of MHRD’s Institution Innovation Council was an important move made by the IQAC in 2018-19. The MHRD invited applications from universities and colleges to set up institution innovation cells in the institutions in 2018. The college applied for this and became one of the few colleges in Kerala which is granted the establishment of IIC. Also, based on the performance for the year 2018-19, the college achieved a three-star ranking.
