Yoga originated in India several thousands of years back, and this system of self-development has acquired immense popularity in recent years. The ultimate goal of yoga is to help the individual to transcend the self and attain enlightenment. Bhagavad-Gita says, “A person is said to have achieved yoga, the union with the Self, when the perfectly disciplined mind gets freedom from all desires, and becomes absorbed in the Self” Our College has having a Yoga club, functioning under the Department of Physical Education, which conducts regular Yoga classes to students and staff alike. We are passionate about creating a community for anyone interested in yoga, mind-body activities, meditation, and reducing stress.
