Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom College, established five decades ago in Irapuram, a peaceful village near Perumbavoor, derives its spiritual influence from its proximity to Kaladi, the birthplace of Adi Sankara. The college is managed by The SREE SANKARA TRUST, composed of Nambuthiris, traditional Kerala Brahmins with a rich history of scholarship. The College has significantly improved access to higher education in Irapuram and sparked social awakening, despite the region's enduring economic challenges. Over the course of its development, the college has transformed into a first-grade institution, offering ten undergraduate and three postgraduate courses, and presenting state-of-the-art infrastructure.
