The aim of National Service Scheme is to educate the students through community service and enrich their personality and deepen their understanding of the society in which they live. Nss unit in our college is a platform for the students to inculcate social values and build upsocial interactions and be a part of the society.In SSV college there are 2 units of Nss under unit no.49.Each unit consists of 100 students and a total of 200 studentsconstitute oue NSS team.Two Programme officers are alloted to guide the students .In the month of june with the opening of accademic year Nss programms starts.The activities are divided into Regular Activities and Camping programms A student should spent 240 hours in a year both in two activities.120 hours are alloted to regular
activities .In it 20 hoursalloted for orientation,70 hours for community relationship and 30 hours for personality development.

Everyyear the unit celebrates important days like Independence Day,Republic Dayand Gandhi Jayanthi,NSS Day(sept.24)etc with enthusiasm.7 day and 3 day camps were actually a meeting place for various talents and
cultures.The unit regularly conducted village visit, orphanage visit, surveys and blood donation camps.
